Currently, we offer rainbow dozen and half dozen chicken eggs. We do have a wait list, which will be fulfilling soon. Eggs are laid by free range hens that are supplemented with a non-go and soy free fermented grain and legume diet with fresh veggies and scrap year round to optimize their health for the best egg production possible.
Colors include azure, true blue, mint and sage, a variety of olives, cream and pink, white, and a huge selection of browns that range from light tan to chocolate brown some with speckles some matte and some shiny. Our eggs fresh and sure to bring a smile to your face when you open the carton. Colors vary on a week to week basis and are hen’s choice.
Chicken eggs are $8 per dozen.
We hand gather our eggs several times per day and pack them in hand stamped cartons, finishing them with a tied twine for safe keeping during transport. You can choose to be on our list weekly, bi-monthly, or on surplus, meaning that we contact you off of our waitlist when we have extra eggs that week.
Eggs are available to schedule pick up on the farm in our farmstand!
By customer requests, we offer heritage duck eggs from our beautiful Ancona Ducks, which are the only female lead hierarchy of ducks. Duck eggs are an alkaline producing food, one of the few foods that leave your body more alkaline. Chicken eggs are an acid food leaving your body more acid. Duck eggs are about double the size of an average chicken egg and are highly desirable among gluten free baking and paleo diets that seek higher fat. Duck eggs are particularly good for baking as the yolks are richer with a higher fat content than chicken eggs and the larger whites will add volume to cakes. They do contain about 3x the amount of cholesterol as a chicken egg, however the size of the egg and yolk are the basis for the increase.
Duck eggs are $6 per half dozen.
